Special Care Centre - a non profit school for differently abled children, is a community project started in 1989 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.  Up until now, the school operates at a residential villa where around 60 different age groups students are offered educational and therapeutic services. In 2008 the Centre started a campaign to raise necessary funds for a new teaching facility which will provide a wide range of essential services for 420 students with mild to severe disabilities and their families. The project, thanks to the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and community endorsment, is nearing its long awaited completion.
